Does a PV system on flat roofs or carports make sense and is it technically feasible?

In my discussions with customers, there is often a fear that flat roofs cannot withstand the installation of a PV system.
Of course, this depends on the circumstances (age, condition, rafter width, etc.) of the individual roof.

In general, however, flat roofs/carports very suitable for PV systems and usually wear them very well. As can be seen in the picture below, the roof skin not penetrated, which means there are no problems with leaky roofs because the substructure with the modules is attached to the roof with load-bearing stones.

Compared to pitched roofs, the Advantage for flat roofsthat the inclination and orientation of the modules can be optimized to the customer's consumption. For example, modules can be aligned south for high power production around midday, which is convenient when residents are at home during the day. Alternatively, the modules can also be aligned east and west, which is particularly convenient for residents who are at home in the morning and afternoon.

In any case, a flat roof/carport is a good way to convert the free energy of the sun into green household electricity, so that you save money, produce your own energy on site and make your contribution to the green energy transition.
We would be happy to support you with your solar project on flat roofs, carports and all other roofs!
